Happy Thursday Everyone!
This week we’re bringing an extra post to the blog to share with you all this month’s Sephora Play (I just can’t skip them!)
This month’s theme was ‘Fall into Beauty’ and it came with a pinkish/purple bag containing all of our samples! I think the packaging is super cute and I love the black, white, and red mixed with all of the polka dots (very 101 dalmations, am I right? But also, super trendy)!
So without further ado, let’s jump right on in to all of the September goodies!
1. Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel
It’s the fisrt product, and I’m already super pumped. It came in the color ‘Deep’ and threw me right back to my high school days. If I’m thinking correctly, I used to have the OG packaging for this product and it used to be my holy grail.
Now keep in mind, I’m not really a girl that is into in-your-face type of makeup, so this is the perfect brow product for me. It’s enough to color and shape them without going overboard. The fibers look really natural and the finished look is a stunner for literally anyone!
2. Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof
This product is a staple, but also a little underwhelming for me. Like I just mentioned, I don’t wear a lot of makeup, least of all eyeliner. I personally think it just makes my eyes look really dark and small and honestly, at the end of the day it just darkens my under eye circles even more than they already are (NOT a good thing). So this is a product that will swiftly be passed on to my mom who will most likely be able to find a better use for it than I will.
I will say thought that it is a perfect travel size eye pencil, and in a way could also be perfect for people like me who don’t wear eye liner often as a little back up incase the urge ever hits to swipe some on!
3. Algenist POWER Recharging Night Pressed Serum
So this one I was also pretty excited for because ya girl loves her skincare, and I’m always down to try something new (especially since being back to college has basically ruined my skin and resulted in major breakouts.. ugh)!
From my understanding, it’s a concentrated serum that melts from more of a solid consistency into the skin to rejuvenate skin and even it out. It’s made with Alguronic Acid, a chemical found in algae that protects and regenerates the skin. So the fact that it has a compound from algae is awesome because in my experience with skincare, algae is detoxifying and normally works well with my skin type, so this was a total hit for me! Plus you just apply it at night and let it do its magic!

4. Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick
This was another hit for me! The shade I got was ‘Amulet’ and it is the most perfect fall shade. It’s a brown, magenta, burgundy all mushed into one with a hint of shimmer as well, which I find unique considering most of my matte lippies are totally flat.
I am increasingly intrigued though by this product. It’s advertised as a waterproof, pigmented, liquid lipstick with a satin-matte finish. To me, that screams ‘In a few hours you’ll need to reapply’, but I’m excited to give it a try and see just how long lasting this formula really is. Plus, I’ve never tried any lip products from Urban Decay before so I’m happy to hopefully expand my horizons past Kylie Cosmetics.

5. Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb
I think my mouth hit the floor when I pulled this out of the bag. I was So. Excited. If you all don’t know already, Belif has my all time favorite cleanser in the whole entire world, and in general, just really awesome skincare products, so this was a dream come true. I’ve always heard about this moisturizer and I am so pumped to try it for myself. Especially because I got a product a few months ago from this brand that made itself a favorite in my skincare routine!
It is an oil-free gel moisturizer that quenches skin and delivers a cooling effect. It is made with antioxidant-rich botanic extracts from an herb, Lady’s Mantle, that is known for hydrating powers and a lightweight feel.

6. IGK Hot Girls Shampoo and Conditioner
This month, there was no perfume freebie! Honestly, I love that Sephora is bringing a new freebie to the box, but I also did really like getting the perfume sample, because I’m kind of a perfume snob, and it’s opened my eyes to a few other scents.
But of course I can’t wait to give this a try, especially since the ends of my hair could always use some extra moisture, which is exactly what these samples claim to help! Some of the ingredients include shea butter, olive oil, and litchi extract, all of which are meant to lock in mostuire and protect the hair from pollutants.
So all in all, this box was just another success for me! I think it came with great products that I will mostly use and that also fit right into the fall season (of which, I am SO excited for)! The only thing that was a real miss for me this month was actually the bag. It’s cute and different, but I’m not a huge fan of silk so that’s going to be shuffled off to a friend who will be able to give it a loving home! Otherwise, like I said, these products are great and I can’t wait to see how the Sephora Play box continues to evolve! (:
Hope you all enjoyed this short unboxing and my initial reactions, but..
Until next time,
xx.Britani Skye
