Fall Bucket List

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Yes, we are practically an entire month into the Fall season, but is there ever a time that is too late for a bucket list? I think not! So I compiled a quick list of all of my favorite (and necessary) fall activities that I plan on checking off this year! Enjoy!

1. Drink ONE Pumpkin Spice Latte

Yes. You read that correctly, just ONE. I hate those things but isn’t it a right of passage to sip on one while frolicking through the fallen leaves sporting a flannel? I feel like the answer to that is definitely yes. And while I’m at it, I’ll just ingest everything else that is pumpkin spice flavored too.. ’tis the season, right?

2. Go Trick or Treating

Halloween is right around the corner you guys and your girl loves her candy! Also, why not use Trick or Treating as the perfect excuse to wear your Halloween costume one more time! This is something I know I won’t be able to do forever (honestly, I probably shouldn’t even be doing it now) and I take full advantage of a crisp night with friends almost every year!

3. Watch the newest season of Stranger Things

And watch it in record breaking time at that! I canNOT wait for the new season to drop on Netflix and you better bet your bottom dollar that I will 100% be anticipating it’s release! I love that show, who doesn’t? The boys are hilarious and the storyline is so captivating that you just can’t resist!

4. Pick and carve a pumpkin!

This is something I just love doing every single year! Nothing beats going to a pumpkin patch and debating for like 30 minutes what pumpkin is the very best even though there’s like 0.0003% difference. There is just something about it that awakens my inner child and it’s such a fun thing to do to get your mind off of the stresses of school, etc.

Last year, I tried (and failed) to carve Kanye West into a pumpkin and this year, I’m going to have to try and top that. I’m thinking maybe something Broadway this year? Yeah, I’m looking at you Hamilton (:

5. Get lost in a Corn Maze

This is not something I would normally endorse. I HATE corn mazes. Like, why would you WILLINGLY go into a maze KNOWING you are going to get lost?? I don’t get it. But my college is doing a trip to a local corn maze and I figure, why the heck not?! Really, I just know that they sell things like apple cider and that is persuasion enough to drag me along (:

6. Wear my most favorite fall sweater

This might be easier said than done, I mean, how am I supposed to play favorites with my sweaters? I love them all! But I’ll figure it out, and when I do? You can find me cozied up on a couch with a warm mug of hot chocolate, a book, and a Harry Potter marathon playing in the background.

7. Become the World’s Best Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie Baker

Ugh, these are sweet victory in the Fall months. And I guess I’ll settle for this position since my mom definitely took over as World’s Best Apple Pie Baker (: Whatever the reason, these stay super soft and moist, and are a wonderful snack or dessert. They aren’t overwhelmingly pumpkin-y, and the chocolate chips are the perfect addition to make them 100% necessary not just this, but EVERY Fall!

8. Sit around a fire and toast some S’mores!!!

Those three exclamation points are necessary because ya girl, LOOOOOVES a good s’mores! I also love to sit around a warm fire on a cool night with a blanket draped over my legs sharing stories with friends. So of course having s’mores is just a total bonus jonas! Plus there is nothing greater than those gigantic marshmallows, and this is the perfect excuse I needed to be able to go out and get practically a million packages.. that’s normal, right?

9. Go Black Friday Shopping in NYC

This is something that my mom and I started to do last year and it was a total game-changer for me. We stumbled into Saks 5th Ave because I wanted to admire the window displays and ended up finding a super sale! So now, we plan on going back every year to see all that they have going on. I got my very first pair of Rag & Bone jeans from this sale and I can’t wait to see what I can snag again!

10. Feel thankful.

Before we know it it’ll be Thanksgiving and what better time of the year to just take a moment for yourself and feel thankful for all that you have. I know for sure that amidst all of the stress of schoolwork, I’ll be taking moments to just breathe and remember how much I’ve been blessed with.

And I think that that concludes this year’s Fall Bucket List. It’s a mildly short one, but at least an achievable one (and your girl needs achievable with school in high gear)! It’s also a reminder to make the most of every single season and to take some time for yourself as well. Self love is the best love.

What are some of your bucket list activities this Fall season? And have you already checked some of them off?

I hope you enjoyed this quick little post, and..

Until next time,

xx.Britani Skye
