My Top 5 Fall Lippies

Happy Friday Everyone!

Today on the blog is a ‘Fall-inspired’ post!

Let me just put it out there, I looooove Fall! I like when the leaves change colors, the sweaters come out, and the air gets crisp. And I love all of the fall activities too, I mean, count me in for pumpkin picking any day of the week!

So of course I thought maybe I could combine my excitement for the new season with another one of my favorite things (no matter WHAT the season).. Lipstick! I’m especially crazy about Fall shades, the darker colors have always been my favorite and although I’m pretty pale, I think they make for a really vampy look that is so perfect for this time of the year!

And so I combined a list of my top lip colors for the Fall! Some of them stand alone and some are best in a little lip liner, lipstick combo! I hope you enjoy!

1. Nars Audacious Lipstick in Ingrid

Up first is an OG favorite. I’m telling you, I’ve been obsessed with this color for at least the past four years. It’s the most perfect vampy, purple-y/red shade and it’s one of the few ‘normal’ lipsticks I’ll ever wear (that means NOT a matte, liquid lip).

It’s so smooth and creamy and honestly just really easy to apply, which for me is a super plus because without a lip liner, I’m usually helpless! It’s also a color that really works for a lot of skin tones, which I think is really important! Although it definitely IS on the pricey side, I think you get a lot of bang for your buck and mine has lasted me for quite some time so overall, I really think it is worth it to have this in your collection if you are a lipstick addict like me!

2. Glossier Generation G in Jam and Mac Cosmestics’ Lip Pencil in Burgundy

Ugh, this combo is literally to DIE for if you are looking for the most natural but still really pigmented berry lip. I actually stole this combo from 50 Shades Darker, Anastasia wore it a LOT in the movie and I just remember while watching thinking ‘I have to have it’!

This combo together starts out very comfortable (and is definitely long-lasting) but once the glossier lippie dries down, it is a very matte look. It’s still comfortable (and the look is amazing), but it might be something to consider if you find you aren’t really a ‘matte-lover’ like myself.

Of course you could always just keep applying ‘Jam’ and that would keep your lips moisturized as well, but sometimes remembering to do that is a little bit of a hassle. Either way, these two have been such a game-changer for me, and even in the summer I found myself always reaching for these two as a go-to. Just so amazing.

3. Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in Family Jewels

Okay, so you guys might want to run to get your hands on this one as it is actually part of his Summer collection (so I don’t know how much longer it will be available), but this is the most wonderful cool toned, dusty brown.

I also looooove the formula of Jeffree’s liquid lips, so this stays put and is SUPER light-weight.. like maybe even one of the most light-weight liquid lips I own.. and that’s pretty many.

It’s so pigmented, and you can pretty much completely cover your lips in one dunk from the product, which I think is amazing. Plus, the applicator that he uses is so unique and easy that you won’t even need to worry about lining your lips!

I think this is a great color for the fall months, and although it’s a brown, it’s super neutral and wearable incase ‘in-your-face’ sort of colors just aren’t your thing! It’s a show-stopper for sure and I would DEFINITELY recommend!

4. Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick in Gorg

I had to, I just love the Kardashians so stinking much. AND Kylie has pretty bomb lipstick shades as well as an amazing formula (yeah, it’s a little dry but name me a liquid lip that stays longer.. I’ll wait)!

So when thinking about what shade was my favorite for fall (there are so many to pick from), Gorg immediately popped into my mind. It is a super-pigmented, NOT streaky, deep red. I actually think the website describes it as a wine color and they’re not wrong!

Normally with this one I will line my lips with another red liner from her line, maybe Boujee or even Vixen (since this is a separate from the OG KoKo Collection), and this just glides on and stays all stinking day long perfectly.

I’ve searched years for the perfect dark red, and this is truly a keeper! 10/10 WOULD recommend (:

5. ColourPop Lippie Stix and Lippie Pencil in Grunge

Ugh, this one is too good to be true as well! It is one of the very first browns that I was ever adventurous enough to own and it’s a great one to start off with! It’s a red-toned brown that truly is the epitome of it’s name.. Grunge.

It is full-coverage and dries down matte although it comes in a lipstick tube. It is so fun to pair with ripped jeans and a throwback flannel top or even a band tee and a leather jacket. It’s just one of those colors that really completes a look! AND it’s always a bonus when a brand makes an identical lip liner (which obviously ColourPop is super amazing at)!

Really it is a shade unlike any other in my collection and one I am so happy to have, especially in those Fall months! Plus at ColourPop prices (serious FIVE dollars) how the heck could you pass it up! (:

**Disclaimer** I totally know that this shade looks superrrrr similar to Jeffree’s mentioned above (and in a way they COULD be dupes for one another); however, this color is a lot more red on the lips than Family Jewels (which is more brown). Just wanted to throw that out there. And although they are similar to me, I think that they are still worthwhile to both have as formulas are totally different and they’re pretty awesome, staple shades for Fall!

And that concludes my Top 5 Fall Lippies post! Lipstick is something that brings so much happiness into my life, and makes me feel really empowered every time I wear it (the bolder the shade, the better)! I hope you guys got to see some shades you didn’t already know about and are inspired to rock these deep, dark, and brown colors all Fall long (not to mention the reds can totally transition right into Winter)! But..

Until next time,

  1. OMG I was ABOUT TO SUGGEST GRUNGE when I realized you put it in last! I’m so bloody excited to see three of my favorite brands (colorpop, Jeffree Star, and NARS) in your list.
